Maybe a gel pad on the seat, if you find you need it.

sorry P, i just want to make sure you keep up on your computer skills  Grin

i've said this before, but i believe thumper is configured how i want it.. i know it has the "ride" i like. everything is fitted to my size. it now feels more like i'm riding it, rather than riding "on" it. i can really fell the power between my legs (finally) Shocked

now hopefully i can get out and see some nice scenery this year.  and i'll continue to speak and post pictures. for you see i'm a storyteller. 8)  Like nobody's figgured that out by now.

When you are in High School, 30 years old is middle aged.   When you hit your 30's middle age is somewhere in the 40's.   I now realize that you are not old until you're around 80 and middle age starts maybe at 65.  I know that what they claim are the 30-somethings are mere kids and they're letting babies into college.

Riding the Savage drops a decade or two off your age.  Wink

Between you, me and our two modified bikes, we're gonna scare Sasquatch off the side of St Helens in June. Cheesy I think I can pass for a younger version of you without much trouble, although, I did shave my beard off last week. Feels funny, first shave in 3 years, got tired of looking like Charles Manson on a bender. Still trying to grow my hair back down to my belt...

I'm gonna have to get busy and find a set of turn signals for mine.

I went to one Suzuki dealer last weekend, but it wasn't my kind of bike shop.  It was all about "motorsports", not motorcycles.  There was a Savage40 there.  The shop was just too much about competition, not riding and wrenching.

Will keep searching Portland, though

Same here.  I'm spitting distance from Iron Pony which is about 85% dirt and competition.  They've a few pieces of brickabrack for cruisers, and a respectable selection of saddlebags, etc., but mostly sports stuff.  Jackets in 6 colors, etc.

Then there's EasyRiders/BigDog downtown, but it's over priced and an American VTwin or nuttin'place.   They do have a very nice cafe/diner inside however.

Other than that, it's the Internet for me.

that or i buy things not related to m/c's  i was pricing out a winter riding suit.  $250.  everywhere. i go to a discount chain get a snowmobile suit for a whopping $50 dollars.  then it went down to $30 two weeks later.

the rear tail brakelights   i pick up some chrome markers at a truckstop for 3 bucs each and then gutted them to put in dual element sockets.

so the deals are out there you just need to be creative on where to find them.  my local dealer isn't bad, he just doen't carry much stock. lot's of compitition stuff for motor cross. lots of sport bike stuff.  virtually nothing curiser.  i quess because when you buy a crusiser these days it has most of the stuff on it already.

I tried to do that when I first got out of the Navy; got it about four inches past my collar and realized I just couldn't stand it any more so I kept it just on the long side Navy normal.  Fifteen years later I found I preferred ease of maintenance to most other considerations, so I went for the #4 attachment on top and the #2 on the sides.  It's been that way since.

That's a whole different story with which I'm also sadly familiar.  However, the MicroTouch Trimmer "as seen on TV" does a great job.
