You can not run "tubeless' on the Savage because it is a spoke wheel.  Spoke wheels cannot be sealed. ....

Yes they can, by Wheel Works, in Garden Grove, California.  Street Chopper has a story on how it is done.

Will the 140/90/15 work with 11.5" Progressive shocks?

that's a pretty good price. 60 bucks a wheel. Might just have that done this winter while she's in hibernation.

Shawn, it is 140mm wide, and 90% of that from bead lip to top of tread. But only at sidewall inflation pressures. And only when new. The width is a static figure, the height changes with pressure loss and wear.

If you plan to run saddlebags, i recommend you invest in a 130/90/15. Will turn more readily (increased lean angle, 10mm does in fact make a difference) and you won't have rubbing issues.

Should work just fine. I've got 12.5" shocks & the fender's WAY up over the tire. My 140/90-15 Metzler has nearly an inch of clearance from the swingarm.

Gotta agree with Babbalou.  I have the 12.5" Progressives and there's way more than enough clearance with my 140/90-15 Dunlop 491.  The stock shocks are 10.5" and the 11" or 11.5" Progressives should do very well.
