When a tax collector says 'this money will be for ...', and they LIE, and suddenly use it for something else. LIKE, Taking money out of your pocket to PAY
someone else's LOANS back.

Most people will call that, THEFT.

The problem here is the tax collector (The IRS) is not claiming the funds will be used in any specific way.  Non-allocated funds, where this money came from, is completely legal to use for student loan repayment because we as the taxpayer have not proposed law saying otherwise.

So IF the IRS actually said the taxes they collect would go towards specific areas, and NOT other areas, then sure we could go with the theft route.

This is not what is happening.  Tax payers were never told "this money will be for..."  So by definition, not opinion, but actual definition, it is not theft.  Although people can spin it to seem so by bringing up things that are hypothetical as if they actually exist in the real world.

While I may not agree with student loan repayment in the manner it is being executed, I won't attempt to do the gymnastics needed to make the false claim that it is theft.  It's a legal, and poor use of funds.

the IRS doesn't allocate where the funds go

Agreed, so the "tax collector" can not tell the tax payer what the funds will be used for.  Either did the POTUS in this event or anyone else because the funds weren't from an allocated branch.

Of course, it’s not that as in the case of a pickpocket for example. Everyone knew what I meant. Like I’ve always said my friend, you mist be a blast at parties!

And it is beyond deceptive with the language they’re using, it’s lying. The language Puddin has used and the media has repeated verbatim without challenging him, is that he is canceling student debt. That’s a purposely chosen word, because it gives the impression that it’s canceled and nobody is paying anything, but of course, that isn’t true. You and I are paying. The financial institutions are being made whole, the colleges and universities have already been made whole, the students in theory got an education and were made whole, I’m the one who gets screwed.

When the Government, (several organizations of), gives money to, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs),
they can say they did NOT give YOUR money
to Illegal, Non Citizens. HIDING in this Nation.

Below is what is REALLY happening to the dollar you worked for.

“… $350 million of taxpayer money to “help local communities around the country better manage the costs of noncitizen arrivals in their communities.” The award is for illegal aliens “provisionally released from DHS custody pending the outcome of their immigration court proceedings.” It’s the first allocation from a new $800 million slush fund for illegal aliens created by the $1.7 trillion Fiscal Year 2023 omnibus spending bill, which President Biden signed December 29 while vacationing at taxpayer expense in the Virgin Islands. Per guidance cited in the department’s press release, the latest grant may fund month-long hotel stays and plane tickets up to $700 per illegal alien, among other things. …”

“…. The program supplements and expands ongoing work of local nonprofit and governmental social service organizations to provide shelter, food and supportive services to individuals and families who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, hunger and/or homelessness. The program may also receive funding to award to the National Board for distribution to local social service organizations that provide humanitarian relief to families and individuals encountered by the (DHS)..."

"... By statute, the EFSP National Board is the sole recipient of EFSP grant funds and establishes the program’s policies, procedures and guidelines…”

“… Humanitarian EFSP for Organizations Assisting MigrantsCongress first appropriated funds for EFSP assistance specifically for support for families and individuals encountered by the Department of Homeland Security (EFSP-Humanitarian, or EFSP-H) in 2019 and the following amounts were awarded to the EFSP National Board.
2019. Emergency Supplemental Appropriations for Humanitarian Assistance and Security at the Southern Border. $30 million
2021. American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. $110 million.
2022. Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2022. $150 million.
2023. Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2023. $425 million. ..."

"...  immigration experts told The Associated Press. Refugees and people granted asylum, as well as some other humanitarian migrants, are entitled to certain public benefits, including cash assistance related to their initial resettlement, though it is not as high as $2,200 each month. ..."

(Wonder exactly what it is, no one is saying !)

"...This week, the Department of Homeland Security announced another tranche of funding through the Shelter and Services Program (SSP) for nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), states and local governments that will assist illegal aliens at the border. The funding, which comes through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), is geared specifically toward non-federal entities that provide food, clothing, shelter, and other services to migrants who have recently entered and are awaiting immigration proceedings. Congress specifically stated that the funding could not be used for border security. For fiscal year 2023, DHS will provide $363.8 million of taxpayer dollars through this program, although it’s unclear how the money is actually spent by the NGOs and local governments..."

"...  this week’s tranche of funding, DHS has allocated $77 million to 53 entities, with El Paso County and Catholic Charities of San Diego receiving the most at around $13 million each. The recent funding builds on the first tranche released in June when DHS doled out over $291 million dollars through SSP.  In June, the New York Office of Management and Budget received over $104 million, or 36% of the funding. In total, DHS has used SSP and the Emergency Food and Shelter Program-Humanitarian Awards (EFSP-H) to grant more than $770 million of taxpayer funding to NGOs this fiscal year..."

"... While the Department lists the 53 entities that received funding this week, it does not provide specific details on how they will spend the dollars or how many individuals will benefit.  The funding may be used for shelter (including housekeeping), food (including cookware and containers), transportation (including to communities away from the border), acute medical care (such as health screenings and over-the-counter medicines), administrative expenses (such as IT and language services), and renovations or repairs to existing facilities. DHS noted revisions to SSP that would “expand the cap for both hotels/motels and airfare to 10 percent of the total funding requested by the applicant ..."

"...  “Illegal immigrants are being wrongfully and willfully misclassified as ‘asylum seekers’ and ‘refugees’ to justify our federal government’s gross violation of numerous existing immigration laws and daily commission of mass felonies.” ..."

"... The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides federal grants to states for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age 5 who are found to be at nutritional risk. - ( an example of a federal benefit available to anyone regardless of immigration status. READ the REQUIREMENTS)

"...Residential Requirement. (WIC) Applicants must live in the state in which they apply. Applicants served in areas where WIC is administered by an Indian Tribal Organization (ITO) must meet residency requirements established by the ITO. At state agency option, applicants may be required to live in a local service area and apply at a WIC clinic that serves that area. Applicants are not required to live in the state or local service area for a certain amount of time in order to meet the WIC residency requirement...."

"...  funding is being dispensed through EFSP – a program originally established to help hungry and homeless Americans – The remaining $450 million from the omnibus slush fund will go towards a new “Shelter and Services Program” (SSP) expressly dedicated to illegal aliens. ..."

"...Mayorkas commented, “We…look forward to awarding funds through this important new program later this fiscal year,”..."

"... Nonprofits and NGOs are not only supporting illegal immigrants with food and shelter when they arrive at the border; they are funding and guiding their migrations from far away in Latin America. We’re talking debit cards, maps, legal counsel, pamphlets to guide them on what to say to Border Patrol agents, etc. These organizations are using tax dollars and tax-exempt status to fund the operation. It’s a mass invasion of America, literally funded by our own tax dollars.  ..."

"...  the Red Cross “has guides for U.S.-bound migrants that include a map to the border, resources along the journey and a paper on what to do when encountering the dangers along the journey.” The American Red Cross sits on Federal Emergency Management Agency’s food and shelter program board, which financially supports illegal immigrants to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars while they await court dates..."

"...Catholic Charities USA is just one of a host of NGOs, a network funded by tax dollars and other donors, that funnels and settles illegal immigrants in the country..."

"...  the UN also has its tentacles in, brazenly giving out debit cards loaded with hundreds of pesos a month to support the illegals along their march to the border, all while being funded by, you guessed it, U.S. taxpayers...."

"...  NGOs use American tax dollars to relocate migrants.
NGO's relocate migrants using taxpayer dollars.
NGOs are under scrutiny over misspent funds, no record-keeping.
Expert: "Problem is, NGOs have taken over as official travel agency of DHS" ..."

They can but they haven't.  It's well known, and from what I have seen not denied, that funds from the US government are from US tax dollars.  The term "grants" and only the term "grants" with the exemption of all other known words, used specifically in the context of this thread in this forum, excluding all other known forums: the words "grant" or "grants" or other synonymous words indicating the same meaning in identical context and identical context alone, does not require the use of US government funds  (tax dollars) as some "grants" can come exclusively and only from the private sector.  Typically however they are from the US government.

Factually no, but from an opinion point of view, yes.  People will regularly decide how legal something is by who they like as POTUS than using actual US law.  I don't care who the POTUS is when I look at law, this thread is a good example of that.

For that matter I have presented Obama era tax policy as Trump policy just to be told Trump is setting things right and Obama was screwing things up.  I have also presented Trump tax policy as Biden policy just to be told Trump was working for the rich and Biden "would never do that".  This outcome is very consistent.

“A suspect in the slaying of a Georgia nursing student — and his brother — reportedly entered the country illegally from Venezuela.

CBS News, citing a statement from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, reported Jose Ibarra, 26, was arrested by Customs and Border Protection on Sept. 8, 2022, after he unlawfully entered the United States near El Paso, Texas.

He was released by border officials pending a review of his immigration case, ICE said.

According to the statement, Ibarra was then arrested a little over a year later, on Sept. 14, 2023, by New York Police Department officers — charged with acting in a manner to injure a child less than age 17 and a motor vehicle license violation.

The statement did not elaborate on the details of the alleged crimes, CBS reported, adding the NYPD said it has no record of an arrest of Ibarra.

Ibarra was arrested again Friday in connection with the slaying of Laken Hope Riley, 22, after her body was discovered in a wooded area on the Athens campus of the University of Georgia.”

This case will be interesting.
Will the UL, Progressive, FD Sprinkling, DFI’s Socialists prevail ?

“… On Jan. 30, Kelly was eating lunch with his wife when he heard a single gunshot and saw his horse get spooked and run away at full speed, according to court documents. Kelly saw a group of men, armed with AK-47s, moving through the trees on his property.

The men donned khakis and camouflage clothing and carried large backpacks, according to the 13-page motion Larkin filed on Feb. 9. Kelly’s home is roughly a mile and a half north of the U.S.-Mexico border and about 8 miles east of Nogales.

Kelly called the U.S. Border Patrol’s ranch liaison, who is responsible for helping ranchers on the borderlands, and told his wife to stay silent, inside and away from the windows so as not to draw the attention of the men.
Kelly walked onto his porch and saw the leader of the group point an AK-47 at him, the motion read.

Kelly subsequently fired several warning shots above the heads of the armed men before they scattered into the desert surrounding his property, according to the motion.

Border Patrol agents and Santa Cruz County sheriff's deputies arrived at Kelly’s property and searched for the group but did not find anyone.

Authorities documented the incident and left. As the sun was setting that day, Kelly went to his pastures to check on his horse as he worried it may have been injured during the incident. After seeing to his horse, Kelly noticed that his dogs were focused on something on the ground near a mesquite tree. “Mr. Kelly approached his dogs, and observed a body lying face down in the grass,” the motion read.

Kelly was “alarmed” by the discovery and put a lit flashlight on the ground to be able to find the body again, according to the motion. He then called the Border Patrol ranch liaison again to report the discovery and request assistance.

The body was that of Gabriel Cuen Buitimea, 48, of Nogales, Sonora. Cuen Buitimea was identified by a Mexican voter registration card he carried.
Cuen Buitimea’s body was found about 100 yards to 150 yards from Kelly’s home with one visible gunshot wound, according to reporting from Nogales International. No weapon or backpack was found on or near Cuen Buitimea, according to the motion.

Cuen Buitimea was wearing tactical boots and had a radio. Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputies found the body shortly before 6:30 p.m.

Authorities collected two assault-style rifles from Kelly’s home to determine if either had been used in the shooting. Details surrounding Cuen Buitimea’s death remain largely unclear. The time of death and the type of bullet that killed him have not been made public. …”

- - - - - - - - - - -

“…Kimberly Hunley, chief deputy Santa Cruz County Attorney, alleged that George Alan Kelly shot the unarmed man in an “unprovoked attack” during her remarks at a court hearing at Nogales Justice Court.

Details surrounding Cuen Buitimea’s death remain largely unclear. The time of death and the type of bullet that killed him have not been made public.
The Sheriff's Office said that Kelly, 75, committed aggravated assault using “a rifle, a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument” against two additional victims on Jan. 30, according to the complaint. The two additional victims are only identified by their initials in the complaint.

Both victims have come forward and provided their statements, Hunley said. There were at least eight people in the group that Kelly encountered on Jan. 30 at his Kino Springs area ranch, according to Hunley.

Kelly’s attorney, Brenna Larkin, called the credibility of the state’s witnesses into question during her remarks, suggesting that they may have been influenced by drug traffickers. Larkin entered a plea of not guilty on Kelly’s behalf for the two additional charges of aggravated assault.

“Testimony is something that is bought and sold by drug traffickers, the same way that drugs and people are bought and sold,” Larkin said during her remarks.

Larkin criticized the investigation
of the case for charging Kelly
before all the details of the case
had been investigated.
