As you get older you drink less, which is not good.
The savage is stiff and makes stones come loose, which is a good thing. (you need stone free kidneys).
If you drink 2 liters of water per day, you will lose more fluid, so you will become slimmer and therefore less air resistance. This makes you drive faster over bumps, and therefore loses kidney stones faster.
No soft drinks with phosphorus. and easy on the salt. It sounds crazy but you are crying with your kidneys. So watch bamby twice a week and you excrete the salt and minerals that would otherwise form kidney stones.

If you are human and have a slight curve. Then it is better to wear suspenders than a belt.

Last but not least, practice loud farts in public places. Don't save them for your old age.
Turn your fart into thunder.

I really like the K-70 tire's and would like to have them on all my bikes but they are so limited in sizes   !  Sad  
So , Dunlop 404's is what I'm thinking for replacements next time .

I drink enough and only water,juice,milk and very little alcohol. No soda , maybe 10 to 12 soda a year, just recently cut out caffeine too. Back to orange juice too. Enough sugar & salt in everything so I cut out sugar & salt too.
K70 has always been a great tire , but the 404 is a tough tire that can that loves the abuse , stops great. Kind of a truck tire compared to performance tires with softer sidewalls , but it’s got really good grip. Think you would be
content on 404’s. I’ve never liked the looks of the tire , but it performs well at a decent price. I like Dunlops. Im gonna go bake a set in that 100+ heat. They will slip right on my new wheels for the 250. Tracker has a set of Continentals waiting , soon.

So my new rims made it home yesterday but all I had time for was open the box and sneak a peak. We had some family over yesterday. I got up early to finish chores early and then family, by the time they left . I had dinner went to bed early. Up early today , I’ll get those tires mounted up today. Hats off to Buchanan’s , the wheels are incredible ! I wanted the wheels to stand out while looking stock , well kind of. Hubs had casting ridges polished down before powder coat. I thought I screwed up with my color choice , thinking it  would look cheap or trendy , wasn’t cheap and looks crazy cool , kinda unique. Inside hubs almost look stock but shiny , but roll it out in the sun and the “alien silver” hubs light up in the sun. Used same color for trim on the tracker. New wheels highly polished aluminum rims , spokes & nipples with those hubs , they really pop in the sun but almost look stock when inside. Both brake backing plates are p/c in a 80% black (satin look).  I can see a finished bike in my sick warped mind. I’m confident  it will turn some heads and generate grins !   Cool

I really didn’t need/want this build but as usual it has taken on a life of its own. And it has gotten deep under my skin and into my soul , just as deep into my wallet ! But now I see it as the perfect build at the perfect time ,now I realize I absolutely needed this build ! Keeping me sane and moving in a positive direction. Having huge fun with this build. Can’t wait for that first ride and all the grins that go with it.

New shoes on the new wheels. Dunlop 404s cause its a half pint I went with a smaller set of 18” with a 110/90-18 for the rear and a 100/90-18 out front. Rear was fairly easy to mount , the front tire with smaller size was a formidable opponent. My arms got a good workout , still feeling it today. Less weight and less drag with the smaller tires. New wheels not dramatically lighter with the aluminum rim but still a noticeable difference. But a lot of extra time & care was used due to new highly polished rims. New shocks arrived from Spain too , black body with chrome springs & keepers ,  Betor makes really nice shocks have some on my trials bike too. Gettin closer to a rolling chassis beside powder coating I think the only part I need is a new rear sprocket , get it ordered on Tuesday.

Part of original plan was to lower the suspension , it was a Victor model converted to the SS model. Both models use a rear 18”” but front went from 20” to a 18”. I lowered front fork about 3/4” and new shocks a bit shorter  too. Was shooting for getting crank centerline below the axle centerline for a low COG. It all should give it a unique stance. With improved suspension & improved brakes on some durable 404s & tastefully lowered  she will be big fun on the twisties !

While some here are at a pinnacle of frame or engine building , no need to name anyone. And then comes Ruttly with my jack of all trades approach of building. Let me tell you self doubt is a project killer ! To set goals as your building last nights dream , be sure to include a few things outside of your comfort zone , way outside. Something you haven’t done before. Ok to seek help , part of the learning curve. For example , I hate building exhaust but yet I force myself to build exhaust , cause it’s part of the vision , you can’t skip anything in you vision. I also hate polishing , but I like the shine ! Study photos of other builds , ok to steal ideas , build in your mind then achieve your goals. Without pushing you skills to new heights , your build will suffer.  Incorporate at least 2 out of your comfort zone items , it will give it identity and your personal stamp , in return you get a chunk of pride to chew on while out riding your creation ! Each project will present some issues to resolve , then throw a few dream items to complicate the build and your on your way !    Cool

Killer heat here for over a week so all rides are early. Yesterday’s outing must have been a good ride cause my butt & hip are still telling me all about it ! New roads lead to more new roads after an hour of the same roads took a different turn and found some roads out near the river , levy roads , fun exploring. Due to the early rides ya got to be respectful keep it quiet near the houses on a Sunday morning. I like riding as soon as the night begins to fade. Still warm 75 at 4:30 am so no dew dry warm roads. Came to a intersection green painted wood scattered all over , too late just went thru a cloud of honey bees. That was the first bee hive painted any color other than white I’ve ever seen. Not one sting , the bike collected a few. All the honey had been run over , luckily I didn’t ride thru it. Great ride , new area to explore.

Last few rides have left me thinking it’s time to start a new list for Gen 3 tracker. Gen 1 was predominately R&D/ test n tune , working the bugs out. Big fun still remember the best day of riding in 55 years. Gen 2 evolution continues to get better. Still find room for improvement. Gen 3 Will start with 3rd wiring harness upgrade mod. Eliminate current GPS speedo ,add the $7 Chinese GPS speedo( no option speedo) shows speed only no odometer. Fab an idiot light panel with high beam,turn signals,neutral with something that can be seen in daylight. Might even try some Tomaselli Condor cafe bars on it just to make Dave nervous.  Also considering some Ox Eye turn signals ( on the wide bars ) & eliminate current front turn signals , rear t/s are incorporated into dual tail light. Going for a more streamlined look , only a small mirror , very bare , very narrow except the bars. The lightest version yet. No performance improvements , none needed
maybe repack muffler core. It’s not super light , about 315 lb , but she is built tough , as my daily bike it gets the snot run out of her. No doubt , I love the bike. Named “the Healer” , she heals a troubled mind & soul , all you need is a gallon of gas and some old farm roads. At times I think it may be the only thing saving my sanity !

My wheels from Buchanan’s with the new Dunlop 404s just got the finishing touch , a new custom rear sprocket. Stocker was a solid 52 tooth steel in a 520. Rebel Gears in TN has done many sprockets for me , always above & beyond expectations. They listen , communicate and execute , 5 star customer service. Anyways UPS handed me the package , ran inside cut it open , amazed as usual not just a flat aluminum sprocket but a 52 tooth in a 520 , cut to fit with 5 bolt holes , a slight step down before the teeth and an extra twenty beveled weight relieving holes. Super light , simply beautiful. Fair but not cheap , but it is custom , you want cheap shop Amazon !

I had an Aluminum sprocket on my 350 right after I got it.  The standard was 42 tooth steel and I replaced it with a 40 tooth Aluminum .   It was good while it lasted.  Aluminum wears quick !  It lasted about 10,000 miles .

I still had the steel 42 tooth steel , so I put it back on and picked up a 16 front to replace the 15 steel that wore out the 40 tooth aluminum.   So it kept +- the same Higher gear ratio .  

Now I found a Belt Drive system to go on it ... but it only comes in the 15/42 ratio so I'm back to standard gearing ... but it's belt drive now.

The 350 is a little over 18,000 miles now and doing great !
It would be good to have a 250cc companion to go run the Dragon with ?
Deals Gap is only 5 or 6 hours putt-putt ride from my house !

Yes MM it’s a 1971 and I would be honored to ride with you. However I haven’t a clue if I’ll ever get there. The exhaust is almost finished , once it done the frame , swingarm and all the small parts , off to the powder coater they go. That damm kidney stone put me about 3 months behind schedule. Now playing catch up , hope to have a rolling chassis by end of September.
Get it off my workbench so I can reseal the engine. At least one bolt a day !
