covid deaths are mostly found in the elderly and since they are disproportionately Republican, that’s not a surprise.

 I still agree with this.  Also I would say that there is going to be a significant margin of error or missing data when trying to figure out mortality statistics based off individual preference since that's not a clinical diagnosis.
