i was trying to remove my pilot jet yesterday without removing the  carb.
I could not loosen the pilot jet and I may have twisted off the head. Fortunately, the bike still runs good.
I realize I will have to remove the carb to swap pilot jets. Do they make an easy-out that small?

If we are talking about jets....both Main and Pilot - I discovered a way to get out the really tight ones.

Use a flat headed punch - hold the carb in one hand or between your knees while seated.  Hold the punch up against the bottom of the jet, and give the punch a couple of sharp wacks with a small/medium sized hammer.  The jet should then loosen easily.

If you have damaged the screw slot then use the punch/hammer routine prior to trying a drill and easy-out.

It doesn't surprise me that you could not remove a pilot jet with the carb still mounted on the bike......they can be really tight the first time you take them out.  I am not sure if they are originally installed tight - or corrosion makes them hard to remove.

Once you have it removed the first time - just snug it up after that and don't make it really tight.  Jets vibrating loose is not very common.....but I have heard of it a time or two.
