There are shocks out there with the correct ID. I bought a pair from 'Bikers Choice' (crap!) with larger ID that I had to shim down with thin wall tubing. You can't 'shim up' ! cheers!

I have ordered some 14mm from ebay now They will take 5-6 weeks to get to our little backwater in the south pacific. This forum is awesome!

Dave I have just read this above and thats exactly what I did!
My new shocks 290mm White make with 10 mm eyes arrived today and I just couldnt wait a month or so for the new bushes to arrive from ebay so I removed the old ones from the s40 shocks and fitted them to the White ones using your method above and some silicone grease.
The bike is about 25mm higher in the rear I like the look and feels softer which is what I wanted.
Unfortunately it is blowing a gale and raining outside and dark so it will have to wait for a trial
In the beginning I had visions of the bushes being bonded in some how but the change over was relatively easy

What is the difference between a bushing with an OD of 20 mm and an ID OF 10 mm and a bushing with an OD OF 20 mm and an ID of 14 mm?
