For US$49 per year, she could join the AMA (https://americanmotorcyclist.com/) and get roadside assistance. The standard plan gets you unlimited tows for bikes and 3 per year for 4 wheeled conveyances. In the 10 years I've had it, I've used it more for my cars/trucks than my bikes.

Awesome to see you taking advantage of the opportunity. I am envious and guaranteed I would do the same if I were laid off and single (married...but my wife might still want me to go Grin

).

Stay safe out there. I see on your rough map that you may come up from FL through Alabama and through Auburn/Opelika, which is where I am located. I have reasonably good mechanical experience with these bikes and other toys and have a fairly well equipped shop. If you need a check-up or an oil change along the way plan a stop and we'll take care of anything that the bikes needs.

I am not always on here, so if you are approaching AL and wanted to plan a stop PM me here as I'll get a ping on my phone with your message.

Youzguyz in San Antonio just recently hit 200,000 on one of his savages. For entry into the Hall of Fame you need 25,000 miles. Sounds like you will be there shortly. Good luck to you.

I've been wondering if I should ride my bike to see my brothers new house in Missouri...now, I'm inspired.
I'm on the verge of retiring soon and was thinking I'd ride my bicycle across the country on the TransAmerica Bike trail...some 4000+ miles
Before I get too old anyway.
