I’d love to see the Tempter come to the US, but if Suzuki has cancelled the S40 it will be the last we see of a 650cc aircooled single from Suzuki.

Maybe a Tu 650X
with roller rockers, better cam chain (and tensioner) .
Suzuki are you listening?

Don't hold your breath waiting for Suzuki to import that.

But if you're jonesin' for an air cooled single with EFI, electric & kick start, traditional design based on a Honda design, look no further that the Genuine G400C. This might be the basis for my next custom.

Good call Gary.  I'm always leary of Chinese manufacturing and parts availability, but the fact that it's being manufactured for/by an American company gives me hope that parts will be available.

But honestly, that thing is cool as it sits.  Why even customize it?

Edit:  My local dealer did up a scrambler.

It's the same engine found on the 1996-2004 Honda XL400R. These motors have been built under license in China for over 10 years. The engine is bullet proof and uses the same parts as the original.

EFI, good brakes, classic looks...all for a bargain price.

Ahh, I remember reading something about that...I think it was the SYM Wolf 125/150s.

EDIT:
"...the Wolf Classic has a UJM styling reminiscent of the imports back in the late ’60s and early ’70s. Does it look like the old Hondas? It should. SYM made the Honda 125s for a few decades back in the day so they are well acquainted with the style."

After going to Taiwan a couple of times, I had my hots for a Sym wolf 150. I wanted the larger "Post Office" tank for it. The Taiwan postal service uses quite a number of the 150s, they seem to have a larger tank.

But right now I might look into a left over Sr400.

I did look into the Genuine G400C. I think it is a bargain, but I cannot stand how the Chinese treat their own people.
