so I got my Dyna's in the mail and today I should be getting my Ryna adapter. I know I've got to cut 1 inch off the header pipe, is there anything else I have to do to make this work or is it just slip on and go after that?

I don't see any mention of cutting the header pipe in http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1298689417

Am I missing something? I'll be picking up a pair of Dynas this Saturday, so I want to be clear here. Smiley

Don't cut anything until it's obvious that you must.
One I did
One I didn't

I got an adaptor to kick out the muffler a bit and its something you have to do for that.

Yeah, you'll have to get the Dyna.
Then you start with the installation.
USUALLY no adjustments to the header are required.
You'd think every one would be the same..
I reconsidered my earlier post.
IIRC, I was installing a Supertrapp when I had to trim the header.
The adapter length could possibly put the rear support too far to the rear, but where you got yours will be what decides that I guess.
Don't sweat it, man,, it's gonna be fine.

The instructions that you get with the RYCA adapter have you cut the header so that the adapter fits flush up against the chrome portion of the header.  If you don't want to do this, I think you'll have some portion of the header exposed that is not chrome.
