Starter Motor Compatiability (Read 56 times)

Posts: 17820 Camp Springs, Kentucky Gender:	Re: Starter Motor Compatiability Reply #1 - 06/03/19 at 07:21:35 Nobody in the US has ever seen a 400 - but we do believe that the major engine difference is the smaller piston/cylinder, and the rod has a smaller wrist pin. It is likely the starter motor is interchangeable.

Well I'd still like to no if the LS 400 has a compression release , and you need to know that cranking the starter for more than a minute or two can over heat it, which causes the field magnets to come unglued from the case and ruins it , you need to allow 15-20 minutes for it to cool in between each try , if your having trouble starting. I f the bike is tuned and running normal it should start on the first or second revolution .
