And a word of warning. Never take your Suzuki to a HD dealer for state inspection unless you want your bike back broken.

OK.....How do you break something by inspecting it? Huh

The inspector removes the gas tank and throws away a rubber bushing. That’s how. When I got the bike home it was missing a gas tank bushing and failed the inspection for a loose gas tank. Wasn’t loose when I rode it in there....

What were they "inspecting" when they removed the tank?

I asked that very question. Reply was the non-answer “ it’s standard procedure”....
My butt it is!
I left a google review for them describing the experience.

My reply would've been... You know a good mechanic would've been able to put the tank back on correctly.

you can glue the tank rubbers on with rtv... just to keep idiots like this at bay.

I think what Mike is saying is the inspector doesn't like his bike and sabotaged it so it would fail inspection.  RTV won't stop a knucklehead like that.

I was suspicious considering that the mechanic made a snide remark about wheeling a Suzuki into his shop. Like the bike was desecrating holy space or something. Roll Eyes

Yup Mike you broke the cardinal sin. No one at a Harley dealer wants a jap bike in or near the building. When I ride my tracker over there it always collects a small crowd of lookers and haters , screw them !

Yeah screw em. My thoughts exactly. The elitism is just a sign of inferiority complexes anyway. Can’t take those people seriously
