I tried different stuff too.....while driving in the winter.
It would get so foggy under certain condition it was like driving in zero visibility.
They had a product where to drill holes into your visor, that if I recall, got good marks.
Not having to really drive that far, I found if I cracked my face mask to a certain position, it would accomplish protection, warmth, and ventilation, enough to get me by.
