What possessed you to paint
Natron on it? Aside from the obvious use of
Norton?
Natron is a naturally occurring mixture of sodium carbonate decahydrate (Na2CO3·10H2O, a kind of soda ash) and about 17% sodium bicarbonate (also called baking soda, NaHCO3) along with small
Thank you for your
words, I am moved to tears...
NATRON is, science aside, the salty mixture used by Egyptyan priests to commence the embalming ritual of Pharaohs - the road to Eternal Life.
To me, in dire and hard times, the Savage was my Natron - my initial step towards a new life.
I've had her since October 2005, and I've been asked/told/begged/ordered to sell it more than once, but NO, she stays
As for the rest, I'm now looking for a springer seat and low slung pullback bars.
Not buckhorns - something akin to the 1950's.
I replaced the OEM fat 15" wheel and ridiculous fat 150/80 tire with a 17" wheel and 130/90 tire - so from the rear she looks more like a Sportster (or a RE Bullet).
I had also found a 19" wheel with a hu-uge drum brake, but it came off a russian Dnepr, and good as those bikes may be, I wasn't feeling happy...
So the OEM disc stays, albeit the drilled rotor courtesy of Verslagen.
And his Verslavy.
I also removed the sissybat and fitted a luggage rack.
More to come
