Still have to inquire anout a title, I have a bill of trade from the original owner.
Bike only has 1422
I think I need to order jets I have a 55 pilot and I know that it runs good but I want to see if I can run a 52.5 along with a pod filter.
I this 152.5 main is perfect for such a open muffler as this
I just put the muffler on, got it for free from Bill from this forum ,bike is running good  on 1 year old gas 😂

Gonna be a sad day if you get it running only to discover you can't get it titled.

Bill of trade? Do you mean bill of sale? No good in N.Y.  If you got that from the original owner ,why not go back to him and have him get a replacement title to sign over to you ? (or is the bike HOT).

That bike looks clean. Yeah, if you have contact with the original owner ask him for his help in getting the paperwork correct.

Maybe the selling dealership has copies of the sale documents.

Or the N.Y.  DMV  might be able to do a trace, to find the last owner/ or person who registered it last.(unless it was registered in a different state)

I tried contacting the original owner but cant get a response, i dont have address.
The guy i bought it from said she wouldn’t gove him the title because the bike has a lean.
Stay tuned, I’m gonna try the dmv thos week

Bike rums and well too, i rode it around the block all stock then rode around the block sgain with the new pipe on

You don't own the bike. the lean holder or the insurance company does! The owner may have reported the bike stolen ,so the insurance company  would pay off the lean.  (yep, It's hot !) trying to register this bike may see it confiscated /and you in trouble with the law( possession of stolen property). I would not be keeping the frame! The numbers on that neck could land you in jail.

Someone is gonna be happy with your work.
Or, you can ransom the title by paying the lien.

Last bike i bought was a 2003 savage from upstate ny, the title had a lien and the owner was dead, the lien was so old i got a lean release from the bank mailed to me by the bank for free!! Quickly too, only took a few days

Took the title and registered the bike easily, got a clean title modded it and sold the bike
This bike is nice being a single cylinder but at 6'3 200 lbs im a bit big for its size.

Besides, I already have 3 bikes in the garage, a 2002 honda shadow 750 ACE a 2003 vstar custom 1100 and a 1985 honda riva 125cc
I'll probably get a title and play with it for a bit maybe make it into a dirt tracker

I'm not worried , I  don't have the bike , but death of the owner and an owner selling a bike she really didn't own, may not play out the same way, you may want to contact the cops first to see if it's been reported stolen. It's possible She never even owned the bike, maybe her boyfriend or the guy you bought from , boosted out of someone's yard at night. You may be lucky, but someday this kind of think may come back to bite you . Good luck.
