Carb questions, 88

I have a tiny black rubber or gasket washer left over, ?where's it go?
Air jet under the diaphragm, what size for a bike with cone air filter and Harley muffler?
My main jet has no gasket under it, big deal?
Two hoses on petcocks that go to the upper fuel bowl, ok to connect those two with one hose?
Outer air screw, how many turns out to start?
I can't post pics.

It's not shown on the parts diagram because with the plug in it's not meant to be accessed.
