installing new turn signal lens assembly
06/03/18 at 06:41:13

On the 2015 S40, the turn signal amber lens is glued to the assembly which goes into the turn signal cup. The problem is that the lens of one of the turn signals on my bike came loose and I lost it somewhere on the road.

The first problem I have is that I don't know which way to turn (clockwise or not) the assembly to remove it from the cup. I hate to experiment using another turn signal on the bike as if one lens came off, the others might not be glued properly either, and turning the wrong way is a bad idea.

As the amber part is missing on one turn signal, another problem is how to turn the assembly now that it is flush with the cup.

JLC,
The reflector part comes off by a small rotation anti clockwise. it just clicks and then will pull out.

I glued mine back on with epoxy and it works just fine. This of course wont apply to you since you are replacing the whole thing.

Thanks for the answer. By reflector do you mean just the amber part?

No. The part behind the amber part. It surrounds the bulb.

Thanks to all who responded. Once I knew exactly what to do, it took me ten seconds to take the old reflector out and install the new lens/reflector assembly.
