After researching this topic, I just ordered a Battery Tender 120 CCA battery for my street tracker project. $80 from Walmart!

I checked my regulator voltage today and I am getting about 14.25V at idle and 14V at higher rpm. I thought it would be the opposite.
I was tempted to go with the 120CCA version too but since I am new to s40's I don't know how easy starting they are and figured for $30 more why not go with the 240CCA model.
The 120CCA is quite small and good for hiding.

You should check the dimensions I think the 120cca & 240 cca are very close in size maybe even the same size ! My stock battery was a 210 cca.

So with a battery tender I should be able to keep them over the winter I see. I've always just bought new batteries in the spring.

Most Lithium Ion batteries don't need to be put on a battery tender. The LiIon batteries hold a charge just fine without a tender. I have been using my EarthX battery for 3-4 years and it has never been on a tender, and the bike fires up each spring just fine after being dormant for all winter. EarthX recommends that you do
not
use a tender. If us do use a tender - be sure that it is compatible with whatever brand of Li-Ion battery you are using.
The exception to this might be if you added something that has a continual power draw - like a clock or some other accessory that needs power on a continual basis.

disconnect the battery when you put it away for winter. it will still be charged when you're ready to use it in spring.

Monitor the battery with a voltmeter.
Then you can decide when to charge it.

Got the battery installed today. Wow, it cranks fast and strong. After a lifetime of lead acid batteries it almost seems like magic. The battery is so small and lite.
My voltage with the bike running reads 13.8.
Now I need to work on a different mounting or battery box for it. I don't have a good idea yet. The stock box is huge and weighs a lot.

Do you know the source of that rear fender/seat combination?

If you're talking about the 1st post, then it's pure photoshop.
The seat appears to be a sportster.
