New pegs, new look
04/30/17 at 07:10:22

I've finally chosen to not sink any money into making Thumpy look pretty.
Considering the outside parking a paint job and polishing will be a waste.
I will continue to improve the bike on the functional side though.
To this end I added some better foot pegs.

And decided to apply some stickers to cover over the more troublesome blemishes. In this I chose a fitting theme....

I'm doing something to the front fender. More details later.
In the mean time, the naked front wheel is somewhat sexy.

A couple of my all time favorite bands and the big punk rock spike. Can't wait to ride down South St. on a Saturday night now.

I was surprised to find a Dead Milkmen sticker. Unfortunately it's paper so I'm going to try putting some clear coat over it so it lasts a little longer.

Thanks. I got these ones but in black, search for them..
http://www.jpcycles.com/product/531-850

You'll need a steel sleeve (2) and bolts from Ace hardware if you have one nearby. The sleeve is 3/8" OD and 1/2" long. I had to grind down the diameter a tiny bit to make them slide into the peg holes. I also grinded about an 1/8" off the end because it was a bit too long.
The allen bolts are #4 X 25mm X 1.0

You know what, Stuart? I like you.

I almost went with some Social D stickers, but opted to just stick with the keychain.

Oh hey there's another sticker I can get! I'm still waiting on an Alternative Tentacles sticker. I was hoping to find Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine stickers but couldn't find squat.

Clash trivia: This song is officially the 1st White Rap song ever recorded. They started recording this in the studio 4 months before Blondie started recording Rapture
