Yes, and I would guess in winter too, as we are driven inside....

I dressed differently when I was roughnecking. Everyone thought I was goofy, wearing a T shirt and a long sleeve. I wore a Too big long sleeve shirt over the T shirt, and if it was a bit loose, great.
Wet the shirts, at least the T,, and they work like an evaporative cooler..
I was riding like that. Much better, and I had a Sports spray bottle. Pump it up and spray the back and chest at a light.
I even carried refill water, sometimes just dumped it on me..

Winter requires more clothes,but you can only get so naked...
The sun is meaner to bare skin. The Khaki welders shirts from Tractor Supply are solid..I slid across a fair patch of asphalt on my stomach and didn't burn through. I was asleep, so I don't know exactly how far it was, but I landed on the bike that got to the ditch ahead of me and a spinning wheel left marks with the lip of the rim.. Don't know which, because a witness pulled me off the bike, I woke up just laying in the ditch. I still wear it and it's been years ago.

I bought some of these a few months ago,... a bit silly looking, but they do seem to give an spf of about 15 and I can wear them wet for cooling...
