Has anyone had any luck with a chapion 809? Its not a 8809 Powersport plug but a 809 copper plus. It was the only one in stock.

I don't think that's a recommended part number.

How about a Champion 810 (RA8HC)? Asked my parts guy for a NGK DP7EA-9. which is what my Clymer says is the recommended plug for a hotter heat range and this is what he said it crossed to? It's a 5/8 plug instead of the 3/4 and it has the normal automotive contact on top which the original doesnt, no biggy that can be removed. I know people have been changing to the iridium plug, what's a good number for that? Everyone of the parts guys I've talked have no answer about that. Thanks!

5/8" threads or nut? If the threads don't match then you know automatically it's the wrong plug.

Yes, what Versy said. Sorry, I should have clarified. Threads look the same.
