Does anyone know what a stock air filter measures ? Pleated area of filter not the actual size. I know someone has one ready to go in tomorrow morning !

Easy enough to do.
Measure one of the panels, length and width, multiply them, keeping the units the same. If it's a half in by eight inches, then you have four square inches in that one segment. Count the peaks on one side, each peak has two segments attached.
Determine the number of segments and multiply by the area of the one you measured. If you can't get a skinny enough ruler to get all the way down in the pleat, eyeball and estimate how much to add to the part that you can get the ruler on.
Be interesting to see that..

I was hoping to get a simple answer like 4"x 6". But you are the best at making a mountain out of a mole hill. I should have known better lol !
Can you answer the question or not? I don't have one to measure or I wouldn't be asking .

pleated area on the side with the screen - side that faces the front of the bike when it's in the air box - is 4 and 1/4 by 4 and  11/16 inches.

Pleated area of filter not the actual size.

That sure Sounds like someone asking for how much surface area is there. Not the actual Size, but the pleated AREA. And, considering the intake tuning threads around here, that would actually be a reasonable enough question.

Don't fault me for your vague wording.
And stuff that wisdom crack.

Wow who pissed in your Wheaties , I know how to figure surface area with proper measurements and most pleats are 1/2 deep paper or gauze types. Knowing that a simple measurement gets me in the same ball park. Oldnslow understood the question ! You'll never get my goat cause I simply don't give a sh*t !!!!
