My 2005 s40 was running great until I was in a hurry one night and left the key on all night. The battery was done after that so I went and got a new one. After I installed it, when the key was in the on position, I wasn't getting power to anything. No lights no starter nothing, but when the key was it accessory my tail light turned on. I then tried jumping it. When attached to the other vehicle my lights turned on and it started up, but once I disconnected the cables, my lights started to flicker and the bike would bog down any time I tried to throttle up. I let it idle for a few minutes then tried to start it up. Once again no lights no starter nothing. I've checked my fuses they are all good. I am no mechanic so I'm not sure where to go from here. Any solutions should be great. This is my only vehicle at the moment so I'm having a rough time.  

check all 3 fuses rectifier got hot and hopefully blew a fuse hopefully should be in caps

If it was a fuse,.. the jump wouldn't have worked...

Did you charge the new battery before install?...
Is your groundstrap tight?... from negative battery post down to the engine case, just behind the clutch actuator...

Yup,... charge it up... 12.4v or higher... (and give the battery 3 or 4 minutes to rest from charging before taking a voltage reading)...

No more than 2 amp charging,... give it 8 or 10 hours...
