- DYNA Muffler adapter ???

I found your mod, cool BTW, wondering if you have seen the RYCA version, they cut the header pipe back to 1" from the end of the flange.

would this cut mod give us more room for mounting to the stock location?

The stock bike has the inner pipe in the header extending beyond the outer pipe...and it can be trimmed without really affecting anything.

The RYCA adapter works fine....although I believe the DYNA works best with a 6 degree bend....and the RYCA is a 10 degree bend.

muffler came in. stopped by the auto parts tore and picked up this adapter, it fits really tight. gonna mod the header end with hacksaw cuts for pinch/cinch point.

muffler adapter to header parts, these fill that gap in the adapter:

you're gonna need 2 (two) clamps 44-45mm or 1-3/4", if your muffler didn't come with them:

either 2 (two) of these:
Rush Exhaust Torca Exhaust Clamp - 1-3/4in. 65283

http://www.amazon.com/Rush-Exhaust-Torca-Clamp-65283/dp/B00317DKWO/ref=pd_sim...

or 2 (two) of these:
1-3/4" Torca AccuSeal Exhaust Clamp, Aluminized Steel

you're gonna need some hardware too;

M8-1.25x30mm bolts and M8 hex nuts and M8 split washers and M8 and M10 flat washers:

OPTIONAL; MEANING not necessary, but for me i'm using this wrap as a single wrap on the HEADER pipe connection to eliminate any exhaust leaks. I'M NOT USING THE GOOP that comes with it. Just a single piece that only meets at the ends, no overlap!

6 degrees for the DYNA...betcha 7 would work fine however.  The RYCA adapter is 10 degrees and can work.

this MOD worked out just fine. Had to do the Idle Air/Fuel mix plug MOD. about a 1/4 turn worked out the backfire issue on DECEL. Runs great now.
