fold flat key?
05/05/15 at 18:56:03

Curious....any fold flat key's available for Suzuki ignitions switches?

if keeping the suz. key in the tank....would be nice to fold it over rather than snap it off!

Here's a BMW key......

I guess I could always make one.....cut and silver solder something onto the key shank.

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

You put the key in the slot, turn it on, then fold the key flat against the switch so it doesn't stick out and catch on something (or bend and break off).

useful for the ryca's where the key is vertical, in the middle of the tank (where the speedo usually sits).  It interferes with placement of a tank bag.   Plus, as Dave says, very easy to bend and break off the key in that location.

Between my daughter and me we bounced the thing about five times, mostly on the right, I think, but im sure a couple were on the left, the only key problem I ever had was walking off and leaving it hanging.

Of course you could always do away with a key altogether. I thought about it but also found it very easy to make a bracket for a remote mount.
