I often have to push my bike back as I sit astride into a parking slot at home and at work. Today, with clutch pulled in and bike in gear, I was doing it as I normally do when I noticed it seemed to not want to go....
I gave it a little more muscle thinking I might just be hung up on something at my rear tire, ground elevation. I heard a loud pop, didn't sound good
I could feel some resistance still, sorta like the clutch was out kinda, but it was not. I put it in neutral, but it still had some sort of binding, or pressure on it, almost as if something was jammed in the spokes.....
I hopped off, looked, saw nothing
Decided to give her a run. Fired her up, and gingerly gave it throttle, increasing it as I began to roll faster.....nothing.
Went faster, went into all gears, coasted in gear at a high rate of speed...... nothing. No gearbox noise, or clutch issues, nothing.
Rode her a few miles to get gas at 50 plus MPH, was thinking all along a lock up was possible, I dunno, but I paid a great deal of attention to my circumstance just in case it did
Rode her 4 or so miles back, shut her off, put her in neutral, slid her backwards into her parking spot, nothing, good as always.....
Do I need be concerned, and what might it have been, just the gears doing a bit of stubbornness?
Thanks
