rask install questions
07/16/14 at 17:29:11

I am in the process of installing my rask pipe on my 1995 savage. Stocker came off easy. I am having issues bolting the header into the cylinder head. I have included some pictures. Am I in over my head?

Where's the problem?... are you trying to make the flange bolt flush to the head?...
It don't... it only presses the header against the gasket...

Tighten too much, and you gonna' break something...

PS.. you should install them bolts with anti-seize lube... about 10 or 12lbs torque is all they need...
wrist power,.. no arm... Wink...

I assumed those bolts and flange would sit flush against the head. If that's not the case I am glad I stopped when I did

What is special about the rask pipe? Can we see a picture of the whole deal? Thanks!  Smiley

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

Wise move...   always good to pause when you feel you are going beyond limits...
Yes,... the seal is between the header and the head... not the flange...
The flange only puts pressure on the two parts...
Wink...
