I ran with drag bars on 6" risers for quite a few years and like them a lot. I only changed them because I simply wanted to go toward a cafe and/or tracker style. I'm still wavering between the two with what tank, fender or no fender, etc. Fortunately, the same seat works for both styles; currently using the one from the RYCA Cafe kit.
Suzuki should bring back the Tempter standard style model using the LS650 engine, with an upgrade in the front brake and rear suspension, fuel injection, and nicer turn signals that are blended into the mirrors or controls or something...not just jutting out in the airstream like a barn door. That looks so lame. Everything could be done with off the shelf components...or virtually everything with perhaps the exception of the FI. It would be so easy for them, and it would be a really good seller; a perfect commuter/fun bike.
Remember "You meet the nicest people on a Honda" ? The new version could be: " You have the most fun on a Suzuki ! "
