Do they make GPS mounts for handlebars or some other type of mounting bracket?

I should have mentioned that I have a Garmin Nuvi 260. Your mount looks like it may be strong. Thanks!

I have a garmin also, I bought a clamp that has a ball on it that fits the backside of the garmin mount.  I put it on the savage this past summer when I took the trip to see the fella's at the dragon meet.

I think its wonderful to get lost on a motorcycle and have to find your way home. Thats the greatest way to see new territory and explain to your wife why you were gone 11 hrs.

That's right, I use a tank bag with a map pocket.

If you still have the documentation that came with the Garmin, buried in the accessories offered is a motorcycle mount.

There is a plastic all weather velcro that I use. It holds as well as a clip on mount, is cheaper and withstands rain/cold. I've been using it to hold my TomTom XL(big and heavy) to my handlebar clamp for the last 8k miles. I also use it for my fender and helmet cams. For extra insurance I drilled a tiny hole in the case and attached a piece of braided fishing line to it. If the velcro does fail, the line will prevent it from hitting the pavement. So far the only time it came off was when I was in a full throttle wheelie on my ZRX1200R.
