An "Armed society" is a polite society ...

To that end, I suggest we check people who want to walk into police stations and Courthouses for weapons, and when they dont have weapons, I suggest we give them the weapons they want to have.

That way they can be armed and polite in there.  Cheesy

I'll start by sending this suggestion to the SC governor and the rest of their administration.

Cool.

I think the courthouse should be a gun free zone. People lose it in the courthouse. Schools should not be a gun free zone and the teachers need more training. What a lot of people don't realize is middle schools and high schools have armed police protection. My wife did that for a few years. How much more would it cost to protect the elementary schools? The Columbine police were watched and the guys knew the best time to attack was when the officers went on lunch break. My wife never took a lunch break after Columbine. She would gobble down a sandwich in her office. The only way to stop a madman is to shoot him, period. We protect our airliners but there's no protection for our young children. That needs to change. The military or National Guard could do it and it wouldn't cost anything. They're gonna get a paycheck regardless of whether they work or not. Elementary schools are easy pickings for a madman who starts his deeds by killing his mother.

Sri I still don't get this SC thing. They require background checks like all 50 states do. Its a Federal Government law. Its easy to get a gun in NC if you're not a convicted felon.

But hey, people in the courthouse should be polite. And since an armed society is a polite society, we should make sure they go in there armed.

Yea schools too should be armed, every 1-2-3 grader needs to be carrying a gun or 3. And we wonder why kids aren't polite these days.

Cool.

But  ... but ... but ... I thought "an armed society is a polite society" ...

Have you seen some of them kids ... rude little basterds ...

And were you for making schools non "gun free" ...

You're against school kids being polite JOG ?

But police stations and courthouses need to have polite people, so we'll arm people that go in there - OK good. Yea they need to be, they are so impolite sometimes.

Cool.

Whats easier in SC than NC to buy a gun. I can buy one today in NC if I want to. Middle and highschools have police guard ,they call then school resource officers.2/3 of the schools have armed gaurds. Wouldn't cost that much more to protect the elementary children.

If you are a felon ...

NC has a few more laws than SC. SC, TX and MT only have that minimum federal law. Which is totally useless to prevent the standard practice of buying it there and selling it in NYC ...

If I lived in a gun free state I definitely would be a criminal. The 2nd amendment gives me a right to carry and how much more tyrannical can the government become? The 1rst, 2nd and 4th amendment are under constant attack. Its time to put a stop to destroying the Constitution. Our government officials are nothing but traitors starting with Obama and  working its way down. Anyone that attacks the Constitution is a traitor in my opinion. Obama and Frankenstein have spent way to much time trying to destroy the 2nd Amendant when they should have concentrate on putting people back to work.

Google man -

NC is very easy too. So NC is here -

Important/Relevant Gun Laws - NC
     RIFLES AND SHOTGUNS      HANDGUNS
Permit to Purchase      No      Yes
Registration of Firearms      No      No*
Licensing of Owners      No      No*
Permit to Carry      No      Yes
* Sheriff to retain and make available to law enforcement agencies a list of permitees.

Important/Relevant Gun Laws - SC
     RIFLES AND SHOTGUNS      HANDGUNS
Permit to Purchase      No      No
Registration of Firearms      No      No
Licensing of Owners      No      No
Permit to Carry      No      Yes

Important/Relevant Gun Laws - NY state (not NYC)
     RIFLES AND SHOTGUNS      HANDGUNS
Permit to Purchase      No*      Yes
Registration of Firearms      No*      Yes
Licensing of Owners      No*      Yes
Permit to Carry      No*      Yes
* Except in New York City.

Its not SC to NC traficking that is a problem. Its SC to NYC.

I also believe SC is a lot cheaper ... taxes or other factors.

And Try NYC -

Important/Relevant Gun Laws - NYC
     RIFLES AND SHOTGUNS      HANDGUNS
Permit to Purchase      Yes      Yes
Registration of Firearms      Yes      Yes
Licensing of Owners      Yes      Yes
Permit to Carry      Yes      Yes
NOTE: Handgun licenses issued elsewhere in New York State are not valid in New York City.

You can obviously see any law abiding citizen is going to be unarmed.
And a trunk full of guns from SC being unloaded in the ghetto will easily put the power of the second amendment in the hands of the criminal.

Uselss ... unless its nationwide.
Can you imagine the punks driving to SC, buying guns and selling them in NYC ... will be the first ones to get arrested when those bullets are found in a crime scene, cos they have put their names against the purchase, we have rifling data, and we have their name and ID which we have to collect. We dont have to tell them anything ...

Cool.

Since you seem to be stuck on the idea that if you banned guns in the US, no guns would be in the US and crime would fall, kindly explain the UK, Jamaica and Australia and their rates of violent crime , Gun crime and hand gun crime specifically after they imposed bans.

Explain why, if it doesn't work for island nations, it woudl work anywhere else.

The US is hardly the only manufacturer of guns.
