Foot Pegs

Anyone has a suggestion for some foot pegs?  I am thinking of getting some new ones since mine are pretty beat up.

I went to the local Harley custom shop and bought a pair of cool takeoffs cheap. Drill the hole to fit and you are set.

Set of half moon HD spec floorboards. Cut the covering off your old pegs, weld the floorboard stub to the factory peg core. Much more comfortable than any foot peg ever made.

You can even get different color inserts for the floorboards. Red, blue, black, white, yellow...

Do the HD male mounts only need to be drilled out to fit the savage? This seems one of the best foot peg solutions if so.

That's it. Just drill. I did it with a hand drill in a couple of minutes. If I can do it, anyone can!

Others have purchased smaller bolts to fit the holes. Perhaps someone can chime in on that. Drilling is fast, easy, and free.

So much more cost effective than buying a $100 dollar set of kuryakyn pegs! Can't wait to look on ebay to get some cheap take offs.

I have always used round footpegs. I don't know how the ones that are flattened will sit. Maybe someone did those and fill us in.

I would somehow mess it up if I got the drill out.  I can't even hammer a nail in straight!   Tongue

I would try it. The existing hole will keep the bit straight.

Just keep it oiled and take your time, you'll be fine.

I got sportster after market pegs did the drill out and also epoxied a thin piece of metal with dilled pins back on the mount where the pegs make contact to eliminate the slight sag that some of the after market pegs have  Wink
