Oil leak from cylinder head?
04/04/13 at 17:41:59

i found an oil leak where my exhuast connects to my cylinder and have no clue on what it could be. i read up on sone forms about a "bolt access hole" thay needed to be replace or sealed up but still doesn't help me out on what is looks like or what it could be. if anyone can help me out, just go to the cheapcycleparts . com put in the specs for what kind of motorcycle which is,  1997 suzuki ls650 savage, and it has diagrams for each part. just click in the cylinder link and tell me what you think.

Go to the Technical Section, find the Table of Contents, and look for the engine related topics.

Here is a link to what you are having trouble with:

eric, before you come back and ask can you get the head cap off in the frame, yes on mine and most others. And yes, you need to make a copy of the cap bolt pattern and place it on cardboard to keep from putting the bolts back wrong. AND you need to notice the bolts on the diagram that will make you sick if you don't put them in or line them up BEFORE rotating head cap back on. And I used Yamabond because there are no gaskets on the head cap seal. AND I forgot to ask: Are you going to fix this yourself?  Smiley
