Just to take a step forward on Stinger's idea for a calender...

Variety is the spice of life... I think the calender would be best showing a range of Savages?..
Bobber, chopper, rat, brat, cafe', cruiser, fine stocker ... whatever you like...

Let me point out,.. to any that might have missed it...

This calender is Stinger's idea...

I just wanted to get the ball rolling... (gotta' start somewhere)...
Let's shoot for a goal of September for issuing a 2014 calender?... (maybe a 16 month?.. with 2 preceding, and 2 post year months?)...
(Lost has offered to volunteer some time and talent,...thanks Lost)...

There is a concern about copyright infringement...
It might be best that we only include bikes and photos by owner permission...
Anybody up on that aspect?...

I added that option just for me... because I can't see the results without voting... and I didn't want to influence the vote...

... but,.. having thought about it,... and with a little bit of professional experience in obtaining copyright permissions...
I do think a members only calender, would be easier to deal with... legally...

Stinger's idea was for the price to be enough to cover costs, and add a portion to the site upkeep...

We'll have to investigate the printing and shipping costs,... but I'd like to see us stay under $12 shipped...
Does that sound reasonable?... (if we can stay under $8 and still manage a decent contribution for the site,.. that would be even better)...
If costs are too high,.. another option would be an onsite, downloadable, calender,... available for free, and ask for a $1 or $2 donation to the site...
... or maybe have both options?...

Keep throwing in ideas and thoughts guys... and pics... Wink

I agree. We should have enough scooters of all designs right here among the group to field a very nice calendar. That would negate any copyright issues and maybe generate more interest in the site also by making a thread for the "poster" bikes for guests to view. Maybe even do a small article for each one?

We had a choice of hard or soft cover. I think there was a PDF version as well. I don't know if they offer any options for calendars, but it is worth a look.
