Really great job there singles. Looks like a lot of fun. How about a ride review for those who are interested in a similar project. Handling? Comfort?

Thanks guys.  A steering damper would slow down the momentum of those mega wide 34 inch bars.  No plan for a brace yet.  She's plenty noodly, but, I think that's the headstock, without bracing the frame, I'm not sure how much you can really improve the handling.  I have a little bolt-on open pipe that actually DID shoot off while idling, having not been sinched down and no hanger on it yet.  Some things can wait  Grin

Yup, I have a RYCA seat unit that I had the old school vinyl put on, just need to settle on a paint scheme to work with the tank.  But, for now, I just have to ride it after waffling around for 4 months over half of creation putting it together.  I'll post more on it when I get around to it.

And the positioning is great.  That old seat is a little narrow to say the least, but, I was concerned the pegs were too high and rearset etc, not a problem at all for me at 5'10".   Turns real nice too with the mega bars.  Cheers

which one do you have?  was thinking of making one from my front fender, but, doubt it would do much rigidity-wise.

That really looks the part. Love the tank paint scheme. Go down to Auburn Bent Bike and root through the exhaust bins. Worked there years ago, always a great selection of new and used street and offroad mufflers. And grab a ton of oil filters while you are there. Half the cost of OEM, when I worked there a major local dealership bought his from us and repackaged them.

If you go down there kick the big bald guy and tell him Jeff and Doug said kiss our a$$... Grin
