There will be a delay in the current deliveries as my mill has lost all it's blinker fluid.
I've taken this opportunity to upgrade to the latest control interface dumping the oldest computer in the house that had a parallel port for one with a USB interface.
Hopefully I'll be up and running by the weekend.

Progress is being made.
New controller and steppers installed.
Wasted 2 days to find the power supply was DOA.
Replaced it w/2 m/c batteries in series and everything works.
Settings adjusted, calibrations made, now for the programming.
Hopefully I'll be able to continue to use the existing programs.

I should be back up and running by this weekend one way or another.

The old worn out m/c batteries easily give me a days worth of machining.
Far less power is being consumed then before and the motors are stronger.

The system hates laptops because windows will put it to sleep even though you've disabled all the sleep routines. So, I have to tickle it every so often or it will disconnect.

So I got all the orders machined, just not in time to go to the post office.

I'm guessing the software isn't compatible with Linux? Possibly more of a headache than it's worth to get all the driver's etc working.
