idle sounds too low
what air filter are you using?
are there baffles in your drag pipe?
did you plug the vac port on the carb?

definately raise the idle speed. then I'd play with the air/mix screw once it's warmed up.

Just so we're clear...

http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1221818822/0#0

and if the plug is still in there be REALLY careful...I mean REALLY careful!!!

first up the idle tho' if that works...leave it.

Only problem I heard was an EXTREMELY low idle speed..  Sad

You want to keep it up around at least 1,000 RPM to maintain proper oil lubrication in the top of the head.

(Then post up some more pics of your bike & what you've done...looks like a neat bobber.)

Idle speed should be 1200-2000 rpms. To low an idle and you'll burn your engine up.

Too high an idle and you'll overheat sitting at a red light.

I just turn the idle speed up. But how can find out if is 1000 or 2000? Shocked
I have to do a test drive first, seems when the bike is warms it runs smother!
I thought about to change my stock air filter to a k&n pod filter or ryca filter. Do I really have to jet my carb?

Sorry for my noob questions! Undecided
Pics will follow!
Thank you for you help!!!
