dude! darn! sorry to hear about your agro-riding experiment gone bad....hopefully you will be back to 100% in time to do some riding this season......i think about how fast my bike slows down when i crack the throttle - then i think about how long it takes to stop it when i apply the brakes.....always wondering if I will be able to slow down enough or stop soon enough to avoid "the big one".....there is no telling how bad i would have been hurt if that had happened to me......bike stops but you dont.....i doubt it would be able to eject me that easy i'd be all twisted up in the handlebars....ouch!

Lancer, Someday you'll look back on this little accident and....IT'LL STILL HURT just thinking about it. Cheesy Kidding. Some famous poet said once,"Troubles come not singly, but as sparrows." Actually he may have said it more than once. You can tell by the number of posts that you have friends in your corner; most you'll never meet. Now can we get a picture of the bike, please?  Barry

Sorry to hear about the accident.  Yeah, the therapy probably won't feel good, but like they said, at least maybe the therapists will take your mind off of it! Cheesy
Here's hoping you're back on the road again soon! Smiley

Heal quickly and completely!  Remember, it has to be physical to be physical therapy -- and, over time, it finally works.

Hey Lancer,
I'm real sorry to hear about that.
We all see the brutal collisions in football games and think "How did he survive that?"...and that's at twenty miles per hour...with body armor.
I have some first hand experience with recovery and I know how much pain you must be in.
Hang in there and keep us all posted.
Any idea of the damage to your bike yet?

Mike,

Sorry don't begin to cover it -- I am in shell shock.   Having watched you ride for so many years and knowing all the stuff we have done together the thought of you going down at speed leaves my mind all boggled and torn up emotionally.   I have seen you ride the grass before, so I know exactly which scenario you describe -- you were riding it out on the grassy shoulder and hit a drainage dip and flew off.

I am praying for you, old friend.   I still haven't wrapped my mind around it yet completely, but I am praying for you.

Kelly

PS   Nancy sends her regards -- she is quite upset for your wreck and all happening so close together.
