Baron Risers?
01/28/11 at 21:32:57
Has anyone installed Baron risers? I am wanting the shortest I can find that will fit and looking at the 4" BA-7410U. They have some bolt kits like the BA-7411-U which has a 1/2-13 top, but I'm not sure if the bottom shaft and threads are M10 or if they are long enough.
Or does anyone have other riser suggestions for use with drag bars?

What risers or bar clamps do you have?
If you have the short bar clamps (no risers) and want to spend a lot less, go buy some 3/8" drive 3/4 sockets and a couple 3/8 diameter bolts, length as required. The metric bolts don't fit thru the 3/8" drive.
Otherwise, ask for the 10mm bolts and they should work.
Another option, Z-bars with the short bar clamps. I like less pull back than the stock drags and wider. I found a set of z bars that I like, I guess just like what you're looking for.

4" is the shortest?...
Make some...
Mine are BMX bicycle footrests, cut down to size...
I coulda' gone shorter, but I wanted my bars to turn down at the ends...

Wouldn't the shortest risers would be no risers at all?

Well,... yea...
But, drag bars will hit the tank without about a 3" rise...
... unless you angle them up at the ends... awkward...

The bike axel pegs are very nice and creative. I tried to think of alternative risers but couldn't come up with them. Your bike looks great.

I went to lowes and bought 1 1/2" spacers and some longer bolts. Altogether I maybe spent 10 bucks....
bolts were a little to long all they had

Are you sure those will work? I tried these and they just hit the tank.
Here are the ones I have been looking at. 4" rise, 1 1/2" pullback.
These are Baron. Baron also has 1/2-13 to 10MM bolts but I haven't found out if they are long enough. The Baron risers are the ones I was inquiring about. I am still going to look into these but may end up taking Serowbots approach.

The first link is for XLX bars...nowhere near like a drag bar. They are more of a 'mid length' buck horn that really pulls back. The angle sucks....Heres how they sit so the grips are 'level'...I sold them for $10 shipped just to get them outta the garage...this guy likes them, but he likes a very upright riding position

They are spacers, I'm not sure the Diameter just know that they are 1 1/2" long . My bars do not clear the tank but not enough to where it worries me. I got the idea from the blue collar bobbers site because thats what size spacers come with their kit.

My new handle bar
Width drag bar is 700 mm.
Two home made spacers of 55 mm (the handle bar not hit the tank).
Two home made screws of 125 mm length and 10 mm diameter.
But the view in the mirors is bad, so I would like to change them in future

I just ordered these for the Builtwell risers. They are 1" 1/2-13, 1" 10mm shank, and 1" 10mm threaded.
