If musicians ran the world there would probably be no wars. Good job Kenny.

very true Mike, you should run for president, and have Jen as your VP
or the other way around  Wink
So who wrote the words to "Auld lang Syne" and it was not Guy Lombado.

"So who wrote the words to "Auld lang Syne" and it was not Guy Lombado." Wasnt Larence Welk either, how about a gentleman named Robert Burns. I believe he was Scottish.

quite right, he was the poet Louriette of Scotland ,his birthday is celibrated in January not sure of the day, lots of Whisky being drank and Haggis being eaten.his poetry is hard to read because it is written with a Scottish accent.
"Oh wad our God the gift to gee us,to see oursels as others see us" he wrote that after seeing a bug crawling up a lace shawl onto a ladies hat in church.there is alot more to it.
I have a book somewhere around here with all his poems,I was a big fan,and still am.

Mick I've been playing New Years Eve Gatherings since I was 16. Bought the sheet music to Auld Lang back in the 70's. Thats when I learned of the writer. You had better know that song if you're playing New Years. Got a show to do Fri night. Really wears me out but its hard to give up. Guess music is like motorcycles, its in my blood.

must be ,but I really dislike RAP ,it's not music at all.
At the moment all I like is David Garrett, cant get enough.
I cannot play any instrument, Oh wait ,I can play the harmonica does that count ?

Grew up listening to my Grandpa playing harmonica and my Dad playing guitar. My parents had an album of a a famous harmonica player Charlie McCoy. Fell in love with the Beatles, remember the harmonica part on Love Me Do? I had to have a harmonica. I've got a collection of them in every key now. I have one of those stands I wear so I can play harmonica while I play the guitar. Rock N Roll wouldnt be the same without the harmonica. David Garrett is a true virtuoso in every sense of the word. Mick you have good taste in music.
