I think you clutch rod is ok, bordering on the long side.
What will happen if it becomes too long is slip.
If you ever have trouble with the rpm's racing and the bike is sluggish, then I'd replace the rod for a shorter one.

If he has free play at the lever then he is good to go for a right good long while with his rod length where it is according to his case markings.   He is at the "good end of things" for rod wear or cable stretch, which generally strongly outweigh plate wear effects anyway.

Keep on using DIESEL OILS, you may have residual friction star materials on your clutch plates that the diesel oil may help clear up for you.
