Need new rear tire, bike is running fine, almost rode
on it 1k miles since I bought it and all is just dandy,
still want a brighter headlamp but the 45w did make
a positive difference but now it needs new rear tire.

The other day i almost kissed the road, hard, when the
rear tire kept going on a wettish curve (oil patch?) but
my old motocross instincts, along w/the low weight of
the bike, saved my butt when I kicked the pavement
with my inside leg and gave it gas to recover verticality,
haha, it worked!  Cheesy

What size tire you'all think fits a 16" araya
rim originally made for a 3.50x16 tire?

it has a new D-404 in front so i was thinking of a matching
D404 110/90 D16 59 P as well, I want something
somewhat wider and a bit round so i can safely curve and
lean the bike a bit, cause that original bidgestone 3.50 tire
is a joke, just too thin. And yes, there is a good deal of space
to put something wider in it, but how wide can the rim safely take?

Any ideas?

And can I put a correct size front tire in the rear of this light bike
or are the threads and/or rubber compound somewhat different?
cause I cannot a find a dunlop 404 that size designed specifically
for the rear.  thanx again.

picking and matching tyres is a pain

i went with Metzler tyres on my 125   me33 or something like that, they where brilliant all weather tyres, at the expense of wearing quite quickly.

my 125 also had a naff 35w headlight   i raised it to a 55w butttttt, the headlight and reflector design make a real difference.

i swapped the round side mount 5 3/4" one for a 7" round headlight and fitted a classic cibie 'Z' beam headlight unit and boy was it good. so good in fact i am going to fit it to my savage.

and +1 on swapping all the auxiliary lights to led  they have alot of power which made the headlight possible

Hopped on the wrong one in the parking lot
but my key didn't work on the v-max, honest
mistake since one can hardly tell'em apart  Wink

...BTW: ordered a Contiental 120/80-D16 tire for the rear
originally made for maxi-scooters (400cc+), should be
arriving any day now, hope it fits.
