One reason its keeping the forward controls is that my left knee cant bend. ive got 80 degrees of motion in it. To ride anything I have with rearsets would take 140 degrees or more.
Its surprising how fast you can actually corner with a savage once you learn to adapt your riding style.
Ill get some knee dragging video once the bike is rideable again.
truckinduke, do you agree on the riding position, or on the rideress ???
OK, laffs done.
I'm sorry to read about your knee, I assume it must have been an accident... and quite an accident, I guess !
If you have an issue with your foot controls, just try to avoid pulling your hand controls too far forward and down.
What really ruins riding pleasure is to have elbows/navel/knees all cramped together with a mere inch to spare...
... and hands & feet way too far forward...
...NOT the way to go !
Even if you can't pull your foot controls back any more than so much, avoid straining to "look fast" with low clip-ons etc.; rather, enduro-style 7/8th in. bars may prove much more comfortable and more suited to your riding style...
