Rear turn signal replacement
10/06/09 at 22:36:43
I dropped it.
Getting it off a trailer, loosening the tie-down straps, one unhooked - and over it went.
Not much damage - the saddle landed on the trailer fender - but the left turn signal on the rear broke off like a wishbone.
Now's the time to move those signals - make room for saddlebags.
What I had in mind, was a set of truck-type LED one-face amber pedestal-mount signals; to mount either under the taillight or on the fenders, at the rear. But those are hard to get, and spendy - about $30 EACH, a sixty-dollar cost. Using conventional round truck signals with incandescent bulbs would look cheesy.
Anyone have a better solution? Aftermarket turn signals; or a readily-available type off another breed?

Not always inexpensive, but you might try customdynamics.com, they specialize in LEDs for cycles.
