I had incorrectly identified them before; these are GS550/650

Yes, better dampening and they also have compressed air assist with the air valve at the top of the tube just under the cap.  Plus the brake calipers and discs are better too.  With tubes available now that have 2 calipers the braking power will take a jump.   Wink

AND IF that braking power is not very judiciously utilized on any surface offering less that excellent traction, the bike & rider will be takin a dump.

Which is no reason to not do the mod, besides, an inattentive rider can dump it, as is. Ive done it & seen it done.

Indeed, that is called "developing control touch" so that the unplanned departure from the scheduled flight plan is avoided

I love all the details like the chromed FC, gold clutch cover bolts, raised headlight, frame color, seat, tank, etc.  It's got some serious attitude!

BUMP!

@Lancer, any chance you can upload some new pics of REX for the newer members?

It seems my job around here is to go around and necro post the oldest threads I can find.  Grin

Let me see if I can get this to work.  With the changes in the photo keeping sites it harder to move photos, at least for me.

Try this link, it should bring up some photos.

Lancer:

The link wants me to be "You" to see the photos.

It wants an email address and password.

Lancer,

Just attach the pictures to a post with the "Choose File" button.  You can only do one picture per post, but once they have been uploaded to the site you can use them in other posts with the "Insert Image" button.

You need to have the picture stored on the computer you are posting from.  If it's not, simply download it from your photo storage site. You can remove them from your computer once the have been uploaded to the sit

At the risk of offering too many options... here is what I use.

https://imgbb.com/

It's super easy. Drag and drop, select the preview/thumbnail size in bbcode, copy and paste! I also select the never delete option when uploading. So many images have been removed on the site. Us young bloods never got to see all of the veteran ls650s.  :'(

The photo with the cafe style seat is the current version.
The one with the Solo seat was when I lived on S.C., 8 years ago.
