Dumb question, but I have to ask. (Read 90 times)

Yes, from the bottom (mounted in the risers) to the top (grips).

I'm trying to decide if I should go with 12" or 10" bars. I know someone on here siad that If you go 10" you don't have to get new wires but I just can't decide on those 2 extra inches haha.

I did this trick when I was thinking about apes. I've got exposed rafters in the garage. I threw some rope over a rafter and suspended a 3 foot long pipe horizontally above the bike over the handlebar area. I raised and lowered it until it felt perfect then measured the distance. I also did the opposite. I set the bar specifically where it would be at for 10", 12", 14" and 16" apes and tried it out.
