Nice work,  Smiley  can I order a ton of them with 2 holes?

I would make the slot wider, the purpose of the slot is not to maintain alignment.  Why have it fight what is providing alignment?

Also, the neck before the tab serves no purpose to us.  Although it may aide mfg of the original part.  I wouldn't put any effort into copying it.

Any thought into making the pawl and teeth with a larger pitch?  There has been some conversation into thermal growth causing accelerated wear by advancing the teeth during either the heat up or cool down cycle.

I'm guessing that the plunger sticks out 9mm from the start.

18mm is the end at anywhere from 8 to 30k.

Let's say 10mm for on the average 20k.  That's 1mm for 2k miles.

The slot does not need to be any bigger. The pin does not touch the sides as it moves along.
The teeth need to match the pawl as closely as possible so that more than one tooth contacts.
The neck is fine, I like the way it works.
