I've listed a post on here that shows all the year/model shocks that I could find that would fit on our Savage. Anything from 10"-12.5" eye to eye will work...(assuming the eyes are the right size)

What is the length of the OEM Savage shocks (eye-to-eye)? The orginal rear shocks on my S50 are 12.5" eye-to-eye and I would like to lower my Bike in the a$$ by an inch or 2 and am wondering if the Savage/S40 shocks are shorter and would bolt right up?

PS, I know that Progressives would do the job for me, but I can't afford those!

I wonder would 10.5" shocks cause my S50 to bottom? Shortest Progressive to fit my Bike is an 11 incher I believe?? Have to go to Intruderalert.com to ask that question I suppose ...
