Hi everyone, thanks for the welcome. This is such a great informative site, lots of knowledge here. Been reading a lot on here to help me mod my 2018 Suzuki S40 boulevard. Got the Dyna muffler, raptor petcock, k&n air filter and jetted my stock carb. This site has helped me along with all those mods.

Thank you

I was here before, a long time ago sort of.  I lost my Mom
in 2010,  as it was happening I met the girl of my dreams ( she actually knew my mom ) My Mom passed and Joann and I had A worldwind romance for 6 months, then My Joe herself got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.
In between I bought motorcycle.   I left outside when I heard the diag because a bike was not a big deal then.
You guys ever heard of the show hotel rescue ?
Or the show bar rescue ?
I would like to do a BIKE rescue, but not for me, ( yes I would like more ride ) but to donate to all childrens or something
I of course looked at amazon for rights etc, what ? Lets do this right.

I just want to say hi. I'm fixing up a 95 Savage for use to cruise back and forth to work on or just escape on the back roads.  I'm working through the tech section and am so happy to have found such a helpful place.

I'm a long time rider of mostly v-twin bikes.  I've had an M50, Intruder 1400, and now this LS650.  Gotta say. I like the simplicity of one carb lol.

It’s not difficult at all, depending on your location.
Where are you ?

I hope your project goes well.  There's something special about these bikes.

I'm glad you're not having any issues.  That's the way to be.  I bought a '12 last November that sat idle for most of its life.  I worked out a couple bugs, and now it's like a new bike.

I had some back firing issues but all fixed now just increased the idle to about 1100 rpm and backfiring all but vanished.

I was on this forum many years ago, until I parted with my 2007 S40. I just visited my brother in Florida, and he gave me a 2001 Savage, non-running. As I understand it, his son was riding the Savage until five or six years ago, when he parked it, turned it off, and forgot about it. I now have a project bike. I'm pretty sure it needs a battery, carb cleaning, and the front brake doesn't work probably because there is no brake fluid. When I pushed it into my garage I am pretty sure I heard the infamous front pulley clatter. Yippee!

Hi everyone. Just got a 07 s40. It's in pretty good shape, but currently not running well. Seems like this is the place to be to, hopefully, get it sorted out.

I'll do some searches and post up some questions if I don't find any good matches to my questions.

Looking forward to spending some time here, seems like a good place.

Thanks, I'm working the kinks out but I think I'm about 95% of the way there. Had some real backfire issues under decel but discovered a severely clogged pilot. Last real issue is either a petcock of unknown origin or clogged tank vent...intermittent lean/stall at sustained 65+mph.  Its a great bike for riding around town and country roads!

Hey All, My names Brendan and I'm rebuilding my grandads 87 LS650.  It was the first bike I rode on as a kid and has some custom paint my father threw on 20 years ago.  Its a sentimental project and I'm super excited about it.  Its pretty far along but I'm looking for some advise on some details as I'm bringing it all together.  That and I've developed a love for this machine, I want to banter in this community now  Grin

Hi everyone,
Bought my 2007 S40 in November and love it. I live in NYC but keep my bike at a country house 100 miles north of the city. Amazing riding in the Hudson Valley. This site has already proved invaluable.
Thanks!

Hi everyone. I’m mistermusik. I own a 2019 S40. It’s been mostly good to me as a commuter. Joined the forum to learn to work out the kinks and make this bike even better.
