try using lancer carb tuning in tech forum,i would try a 152.5 main. mine did the same thing,so i put in a 152.5 main and used lancer carb tuning now it runs great

You mean that when it's cold, and maybe needs a little extra gas, "it runs great"...right.  Running rich.

Why 2 1/2 turns on the pilot?  That setting isn't etched in stone.  You adjust it for best idle.  That's all.

How about the washer under the main jet?

At any rate, just take it all apart and go through it again. Must have been something overlooked, and you just got to bite the bullet and go back in.

I resolved the issue.

I was replacing the WRONG jets.  I replaced the Jet's on the TOP of the CARB, not the BOTTOM.

I'm surprised the bike even ran when i did that.  It ran for a week, i just liked to get all sooty after it got real hot.
