Ok , so I have the battery.
unfortunately there is no room to use my ratchet or screwdriver to dissconnect the terminals from the old battery.
I sits there and mocks me.
Would taking the seat off give me better access?
or is there a trick that all you know that could be shared.

welcome to site!

think it helps to take seat off.

also, I recall having to use a stubby little screwdriver to loosen/tighten one terminal & other I used a pair of needle nose pliers, one part of needle gripping outside of screw, other actaully gripping the screw on the "inside" of the head where a screwdriver would normally go. bit of a wangle but think it worked for me.

expect others will have other, maybe better ideas...

I was able to get it out at an angle. You should be able to move it around a little to get a better angle. I think I stuck it inside the frame to get to it once. good luck

Seems like the seat and left side cover has to come off to get the - or ground cable off and it must come off first and not touch the - post or your tools can become part of arc making sparking potential bomb out of the gases from the battery. Then after removing the tool case cover and the retainer for the battery it can be slid over to get the red + cable loose. Phillips works fine but a 10 mm 1/4 drive socket also work for me. So would a 10 mm spin tight tool if you had one. Max
